What the world needs now is not more charities

Miley Cyrus’s antics are snatching social media headlines again. The singer’s wistful ballad for her dearly departed blowfish almost overshadowed news that Cyrus has launched her own charity, The Happy Hippie Foundation, to rally youth support for young homeless people. Cyrus follows a long line of celebs and super wealthy people who build their own foundations. Many Canadians, often youth, tell us they want to start their own non-profits, too. (Canada.com)
